Scrappy Space

My scrappy space is located in our guest bedroom. However, with our new LO on the way, we are reorganizing the house to create a new room for our son Quinn. The new baby will take over the nursery this fall; but, we plan to relocate Quinn by the end of July so that he has time to get used to a new room before the baby arrives. That way he won't feel ousted by the new LO.

As a result, we've decided to re-relocate my scrappy space back to our bedroom again. This time, we will probably shift the furniture around a little bit more to give me some additional workspace; however, I will need better storage solutions (more vertical possibly) to fit all the new scrappy things I have acquired over time into the space again.

Yard Sale!

This weekend is the 6th Annual Indoor Scrapbooking Yard Sale!!! Here in Edgewater, MD (just south of Annapolis). I went last year and spent more than I had intended but came away with a HUGE haul.
~ Last Years Haul ~

All this for $50!!!

I didn't really go last year with much in mind except to find a little bit of everything. This year, I have decided to approach things differently which I think will help decrease the amount of time that I spend browsing around and the amount of money that I spend on things that I do not need. I will try to avoid buying a bunch of patterned paper and stickers that I really don't need. Instead, I will try to find deals on things like punches, mists, organizers, thickers, albums & flowers. I really don't have a ton of interest in stamping; but, if I find a really good deal on some - I might consider it.

Rub-On

I have been slacking off completely in scrapbooking these last two months. Between pregnancy wearing me out and my in-laws coming into town next week, I lack the motivation and energy.

Somehow, I managed to finish up a simple anniversary card for my parent's 32nd Anniversary last night.

I was determined to use a rub-on (one of Doodlebug's Expressions); but, could not find my rub-on stylus.
So, instead, I busted out my embossing tool and used that to rub each letter onto the card. It was a pain in the butt and my wrist started cramping about halfway through; but, I got the job done and my card in the mail!

Zzzzzzz

March 7 kicks off National Sleep Awareness Week.

The National Sleep Foundation suggests that healthy adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per day and school-age children might require 10-11 hours of sleep.

The number of hours of sleep I got last night...Four (if I was lucky).
Quinn has ear infections in both ears and has been waking up every 30 to 60 minutes fussing through the night. This is the third night in a row of sleep deprivation and it is really starting to drag me down. I know that much of his crying at night is because he feels pain and wants the comfort of mommy/daddy there next to him; but, I am very much looking forward to a healthy boy and a healthy night of sleep for both of us.
